Kids yoga is a practice in exploration at any age. Along with yoga postures and breath, creative movement and activities, visualization and relaxation, children at this age will also focus on self discovery. Discussions and activities focused on yogic themes such as gratitude, compassion for self and others, peace, positive thinking, healthy living for yourself and the planet, etc. will help children better understand what is important to them and build self-esteem. Through the practice of yoga, children develop an increased mind/body awareness while reducing anxiety and stress, unplugging from technology, and fostering friendships with other kids in the class. While doing all of this, children also gain the benefits of physical activity and have fun! Any experience level welcome. Introduce your child to the wonderful world of yoga!
Studio Policies for the Kids Series: No prorating, plan on attending all 5 classes (4 min - 12 student max). To avoid confusion kids need to take all classes in their series, there are no make-up classes in other scheduled series or switching days mid series. Parents are asked to either drop off their kids or take the concurrent All Levels Vinyasa Flow class. We cannot have parents waiting in the lobby.
