Prior to teaching yoga, Jen earned her Masters Degree in Social Work and worked with clients dealing with end of life issues. Through breath work and guided meditation she was able to assist others in coping with the challenges they faced. It was compelling to experience, firsthand, the strength that is revealed through the power of breath. This held true for not only the clients, but for Jen herself.
Jen’s yoga journey began in 2005 when she was pregnant with her first child. She started practicing prenatal yoga and quickly found that it was affecting her body and mind, not only on a physical level but energetically and spiritually as well. As a yoga teacher, Jen aims to teach classes that are challenging and fun yet balanced and gratifying. She feels honored to be able to guide others in their practice, both on and off their mats, while helping students find compassion for themselves and others.
Jen completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training from Sacred Seeds Yoga School under the direction of Jacqui Bonwell and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Alliance teacher (RYT). Jen further explored her interest of yoga and pregnancy and received her prenatal yoga certification in 2012. She is also Reiki II certified and feels grateful to be able to assist others in their own healing journey. Jen continues to learn and gain strength from her greatest life teachers who are, undoubtedly, her husband and four young children
