Christina joyously returns to Maine after five years teaching and learning in NYC! She received her 200 hr certification from Laughing Lotus In 2013 and her 300 hr certification from Goodyoga in 2015, where she taught until 2017. Recently, Christina has discovered a love of the slower yoga practice and has completed trainings in Yin and Restorative. While in NYC, she also taught at Tangerine Hot Power Yoga. She sweat her way into her own skin as a yoga teacher and discovered her deep love of combining thoughtful sequencing with music that takes you places. She hopes to create an experience that softens your mind, expands your connection to your body, and that you can carry with you off the mat!
Christina's classes shake up and balance out the energies that get stuck in the body at different times of the year. Her studies around Ayurveda (the sister science of Yoga) inform her classes; they are tailored to whatever is going on in the outside world, which is often reflected in our internal worlds. Students in Christina's class move and breathe with a focus on grounding and the compassion and support to discover what feels good in their bodies. Her creative, alignment-based sequences encourage students to explore shapes in different and playful ways throughout class, always to an electronic soundtrack.
