Cathy Wasielewski


Cathy began dabbling in yoga practice over a decade ago and quickly realized that new awarenesses began to grow through practice. The love affair began with home videos and an on again off again practice and turned into a steady daily discipline with the discovery of Vinyasa Flow.

Formal yoga training includes the “Art of Assisting” training in the winter of 2011 with Elizabeth Huntsman at Portland Power Yoga in Portland, Maine with continued training with Anne Esguerra through March of 2014, Journey Into Power Level One Teacher Training in August of 2011 with Baron Baptiste in Phoenicia, NY, 200-hour RYA Certification completed in October 2012 with Alice Riccardi of Portland Power Yoga, and Baptiste Power Yoga Institute’s Level Two Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste in Tulum, Mexico in June of 2013. In May of 2013, Cathy completed intensive Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Josh Summers. Other studies include training in the Ashaya Yoga Method with Todd Norian, Vinyasa Intensive training with Rolf Gates, Prana Flow with Shiva Rea and Roberto Lim, Chakra study with Seane Corn, Todd Norian and the masterful Anodea Judith, as well as in the Kripalu and Bikram methodologies. Expansive studies on the eight limbed yoga path continue as Cathy has just completed an additional 200-hr teacher training in Krama Vinyasa Yoga with Kathleen Savoy and Johanna Bell of Sonic Yoga in New York City.

Expansive studies on the eight limbed yoga path have continued as Cathy completed an additional 200hr certification in Krama Vinyasa yoga with Kathleen Savoy and Johanna Bell of Sonic Yoga in New York City in February 2015. Currently she is working toward her 500hr certification. Cathy is qualified as E-RYT 200 reflecting her extended teaching and training experiences.

Cathy believes that the practice of yoga allows all people access to powerful and spiritual ways of being. Life continually presents us with challenge and Cathy has experienced life events that have brought her share of challenge. She has come to know that yoga can save peoples lives in the full spectrum of mind, body and spirit. Each moment is precious and worth noticing for its unique gifts- each soul has its own unique gifts. Cathy knows that yoga is a powerful tool for uncovering each individual’s unique gifts and divine light.
