Pre-Natal Yoga classes are offered several times each week and provide a time and space to quiet the mind and connect with your body and growing baby. These classes are designed to help prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for the process of childbirth. Class focuses on breath awareness through energetic and restorative postures in a safe, supportive environment.
Prenatal Yoga Philosophy
We strive to honor the changing needs of pregnancy through modifications and instruction on proper anatomical alignment. This is a safe open community, which allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. All levels and all stages of pregnancy are welcome.
All pre-natal yoga classes are currently offered in West Falmouth.
Tuesdays 6-7:15pm, Saturdays 9-10:15am, Sundays 11am-12pm
Seasonal Prenatal Yoga Workshops
Breath and Movement for Childbirth, a workshop for pregnant women and their partners is taught seasonally and a great way to prepare your body and mind for labor, delivery and the postpartum period. This workshop will empower participants by providing tips and tools for managing the birth process.
The workshop will cover: Asanas (yoga postures) for labor and delivery, visualization and breath work to relax the body and focus the mind and partner massage techniques to manage stress and discomfort during active labor. Our prenatal yoga teachers, Abby, Jen and Kate will guide you through this workshop and provide hands-on assisting and demonstrations throughout. This workshop will also provide you with an opportunity to learn from and connect to other expectant parents in your community. The material covered will be beneficial for all stages of pregnancy and no prior yoga experience is necessary.
The workshop price covers both pregnant women and their birth partners. Please bring two yoga mats (we rent them for $1 if needed) and wear comfortable clothes.
