An Ayurvedic Perspective on Healthy Living Strategies and Preparations for the Holiday Season

Discover the truth behind the mystery of Ayurveda. This seminar begins with a brief history of the science, dating back 5,000 years in ancient India. Then we transition to understanding the wisdom of ayurveda and applying the basic concepts of balance and imbalance for optimal health and wellness. Attendees will gain knowledge on what doshas are, along with the signs and symptoms of imbalance for disease prevention. They will also learn basic principles of regaining balance and health to the body/mind including daily routine, pranayama, yoga and dietary choices. As an added bonus, attendees will also receive tips for navigating the holiday season with ease and grace, avoiding digestive upset and maintaining a calm (sattvic) mind.
This will be a seated, lecture-style workshop. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring anything you may need to take notes, feel at ease and learn. A traditional ayurvedic lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you have any allergies.
