Yoga for the Whole Family at GPY
We are delighted to offer a wide variety of programs to support families through the many stages of their growth. Our drop-in offerings include Prenatal classes for pregnant women, weekly Baby and Me classes for little ones and monthly Mamaste classes for Moms at any stage of their motherhood journey. Breath and Movement for Childbirth is our seasonal workshop offered to help prepare pregnant women and their partners for labor and delivery. Our Kids Yoga Series are offered throughout the school year for ages 3-10. The kids classes are taught concurrently with adult classes, at times when the whole family can practice!

Baby & Me classes are offered once weekly and are open to parents, caregivers (even grandparents) with children ages 3 weeks to active crawling. Bond with your baby and meet others with children the same age. This is an opportunity to reconnect back in with your yoga practice in a fun, new way or to try yoga for the first time as a new practitioner. In this series you will learn fun yoga poses to do with baby, gentle stretches to regain mobility in your body, start to strengthen your core after childbirth, and develop a practice that includes deep relaxation. Refresh, relax, and renew with your little one!
Mamaste (Yoga for moms) classes are offered monthly from October through May and are ideal for moms of all sorts, whether you have a baby or a teenager at home, this class will offer strategies to help you build strength and focus on and off your yoga mat. Pregnancy not only impacts the muscles that support your physical core but also redefines a woman's spiritual core. The goal is to work with both these areas. Physically, class will aid in restoring core stabilizing muscles which facilitates the breath and posture, then integrate pelvic floor exercises. Each class will offer strategies and discussion about the balance between motherhood and womanhood, 'off the mat' motivation and support to find time for yourself, love and appreciate your body and spirit. All-levels welcome.
Pre-Natal Yoga classes are offered several times each week and provide a time and space to quiet the mind and connect with your body and growing baby. These classes are designed to help prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for the process of childbirth. Class focuses on breath awareness through energetic and restorative postures in a safe, supportive environment. We strive to honor the changing needs of pregnancy through modifications and instruction on proper anatomical alignment. This is a safe open community, which allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. All levels and all stages of pregnancy are welcome.
All family classes are currently offered in West Falmouth.
Seasonal Prenatal Yoga Workshops
Breath and Movement for Childbirth, a workshop for pregnant women and their partners is taught seasonally and a great way to prepare your body and mind for labor, delivery and the postpartum period. This workshop will empower participants by providing tips and tools for managing the birth process.
The workshop will cover: Asanas (yoga postures) for labor and delivery, visualization and breath work to relax the body and focus the mind and partner massage techniques to manage stress and discomfort during active labor. Our prenatal yoga teachers, Abby, Jen and Kate will guide you through this workshop and provide hands-on assisting and demonstrations throughout. This workshop will also provide you with an opportunity to learn from and connect to other expectant parents in your community. The material covered will be beneficial for all stages of pregnancy and no prior yoga experience is necessary.
The workshop price covers both pregnant women and their birth partners. Please bring two yoga mats (we rent them for $1 if needed) and wear comfortable clothes.

Kids Yoga Series
Taught during adult classes, our kids series are a great chance for parents and kids to experience the calming, empowering and healing affects of yoga at the same time! We offer 5-6 week sessions throughout the school year and all of them are taught concurrently with an adult class. Give us a call or stop by the studio to sign up for these sessions. Please note: We keep studio hours, the best time to make a purchase in person is within 30 minutes before one our regularly scheduled classes.
